Reunited on 05/15/19
Bud was missing for 5 1/2 days. We live in an area that has lots of woodlands dividing homes and developments and that's where Bud headed. Around noon on day 3, Bud still hadn't been sighted. I used the Amber alert for 750 calls and that covered a little more than a half mile radius from where he was last seen. On day 4 I added another 2000 calls.
As a result of the amber alerts, I received numerous calls from people in my community wanting to help find him. I accepted many of the offers increased the number of 'eyes' looking for him or help distributing flyers. Having shelters, rescues and vets aware ensured that if he was brought to one of these facilities, his chip would be scanned.
In the end Bud found his way home on his own, but using this service was an easy, quick and efficient way to get the word out, expand my reach into my and nearby neighborhoods, get other people involved in the search and brought awareness to local pet facilities and stores.
I highly recommend this service!
