A skittish dog I was sitting, while his owner was out of town, managed to escape and was lost in our neighborhood for 3 days was found with joint efforts between LostMyDoggie and Nextdoor. So many people were spotting him and keeping watch over him from a distance because they had the information not to approach him or he would run further. This info got around so quickly! Now I get alerts when a lost dog might be nearby and I can keep an eye out to hopefully help someone else get reunited.
