My husband found our dog in a field, a couple of blocks from our house, about a half hour after I posted to this site, etc. She was ok, thank God & although we found her ourselves, we are very grateful that this resource exists. She had been missing for about 3 hours in the night & we felt very helpless. She is elderly / deaf & it was dark & hard to look for her. I had also called the police who were very kind & took my info in case they had received a call about her, but they couldn’t do much else. Also left a message for the county animal shelter, but they were closed. Posting to this site gave me an immediate sense that she was being looked for. Again, we found her on our own, but very grateful for this resource. Best of luck to others.
